Saving the animals, means saving the environment!

Nature Conservation

Conserving land is becoming a serious worldwide issue.  Tropical rainforests, woodlands and bushlands are depleting in size at a rapid speed.  Destroying habitats and endangering various species of both plant and animal.

Did you know, between May 2000 and August 2006, Brazil lost almost 150,000 square kilometers of forest—an area larger than Greece!

Reasons for land clearing: Clearing for cattle pasture, Colonization and subsequent subsistence agriculture, Infrastructure improvements, Commercial agriculture and Logging

Greenhouse

The greenhouse effect is the rise in temperature the Planet Earth experiences, due to certain gases in the atmosphere, e.g  methane, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and so on.  These gases are produced by numerous things inhabiting the earth, people, cows, factories, cars.

The Greenhouse effect is a natural occurance, but with the population growth increasing constantly, along with transport, factories, methane gases from cattle farming etc.  The Earths temperatue is rising too quickly, creating a domino effect - like the ice caps melting.

Water Restrictions

Yet another problem surfacing from the increasing population and greenhouse effects, countries such as Australia are experiencing drought problems and are on high water restriction alerts, some states currently sitting on Level 4 restrictions (Must use buckets only and only on allocated house number days, pools to be covered and not topped up, water saving taps to be fitted through out property).
