Donate to organisations that are working towards saving animals and environmental conservation
It’s always a good idea to contact local rescue centres and environmental centres about volunteer work and planting trees in designated parklands and areas. Look into possibly finding areas you can make nature reserves, plant trees and get a team together to regularly look after the area and replenish it to help wildlife and attract more animals.
Cleaning local creeks and parks are always a good way to get exercise, meet people and help out the environment! You’ll be surprised how many animals live in places that are neglected and littered. By keeping their home clean and litter free, you help them thrive and be able to reproduce.
If you own a house, or even rent (always ask permission from your landlord first!) building ponds and planting native trees in your backyard, will attract frogs, birds and other animals, allowing you to have your own little sanctuary. Native plants also require less maintenance and watering.
If you own a business or work at a company such as a vet surgery, animal hospital, pet grooming, zoo, sanctuary, pet store or any animal/environmental related company let us know, and we will organise to send you some A3 animalsos posters to display at your business/workplace. To reduce the use of paper we will contact most organisations and companies via email. And all our organisation newsletters will be electronic.
